Initially I was hugely disappointed with the recordings. After a few listens I started to appreciate the quality and the wealth of material on the album. Even with a few small set up issues it was a good concert performance. The songs are a pretty good reflection of what Dylan was playing in 1980. At the concert Dylan was working on a mixture of fairly obscure and well known songs. There was some excellent work on I Want You, most notably the extended instrumental break.
